The Business MOT is for owners and leaders of small and medium-sized businesses who want a straight answer about where they really stand, from people with no reason to sugar-coat it.
What we do
Over a fortnight, we spend a focused week getting under the hood of your company. We talk to your team, observe how work actually flows, and review your documentation and current initiatives. While we are in there, we:
- Diagnose the bottlenecks and inefficiencies holding you back.
- Review and optimise your current initiatives so the effort you are already making counts for more.
- Evaluate your team's strengths and where they need support.
- Identify what you are excellent at, so you keep capitalising on it.
- And bring a fresh, objective perspective that spots the blind spots and opportunities you are too close to see.
What you get
A straightforward, honest assessment of what is working and what is not, with clear, actionable recommendations, including where you can save costs and how to solidify your foundations for growth. No hundred-page deck. A plan you can act on.
If you would like, we can also train one person on your team to carry the changes through, so the improvements stick long after we have gone. And if you would like us to present the findings and recommendations to your board, we are happy to do that too.
How long it takes
A week of our time inside your business, usually spread across a fortnight so disruption to your team stays minimal, with your report and recommendations shortly after. We agree the exact schedule with you upfront.
How pricing works
A single fixed price, agreed before we start. No day rates, no extensions, no surprises. You will know exactly what it costs before we set foot in the building.

How disruptive is a Business MOT to my team?
Less than you would think. Most of our time is spent observing and having conversations, not pulling people off their work. We agree the schedule with you upfront and fit around your busiest moments.
Do we need to prepare anything?
Very little. Useful documentation to hand helps, but part of the point is that we see your business as it really runs, not a tidied-up version of it.
What happens after the MOT? Do we have to hire you to fix things?
No. The recommendations are yours to act on, and if you want, we will train one of your people so you can implement them without us. If you want further support, we will be honest about whether you actually need it.
What if you do not find anything wrong?
Then we will tell you that, and you will know your strengths with more certainty than before. Part of the MOT is identifying what you are excellent at. We have no interest in inventing problems to solve.
